Tuition
Payments:
Tuition payments shall be made by Student
according to the agreed upon payment schedule. Student understands
that there is a ten (10) day grace period for payments. Late
payments shall result in a $25 late fee. If the Student is
more than ten (10) business days late in making a scheduled
payment, his/her student account may be suspended. If the Student
has any outstanding balance more than sixty (60) days old,
his/her enrollment may be terminated unless there is a written
agreement with WOLI to the contrary. If Student has secured
a student loan, then payments shall be made to the loan provider
according to the payment schedule provided by the loan provider.
Until such a loan is secured and a promissory note is signed,
Student will be held liable for the full tuition. The undersigned
Student agrees to pay any and all collection costs, attorney
fees, and court costs should they become delinquent in their
payments. If student is delinquent in their tuition payments,
WOLI reserves the right to charge Student’s credit card
on file for any and all past-due tuition fees plus late fees
incurred.
If Student elects to be on “autocharge”,
Student authorizes WOLI to automatically charge a credit card
on file according to the tuition payment schedule. Student
must notify WOLI if he or she wishes to discontinue the “autocharge” option.
If the tuition is being paid by a third
party (e.g., the Student’s employer, a government agency,
or any other private, non-profit, or public agency or institution),
Student agrees that if the third party either does not pay
the required tuition payments, or otherwise defaults on tuition
payments, then Student will be liable for any remaining balance
due to WOLI plus any fees assessed for delinquency.
Refund Policy:
If a student withdraws from the school
or is dismissed by the school after instruction has begun but
before completing 50% of the potential units of instruction
in the current time period, the student shall be entitled to
a pro rata refund less any amounts owed by the student for
the current time period, less any non-refundable fees (see "Fees" below).
Pro rata refund shall be the ratio of
the number of units remaining after the last unit completed
by the student to the total number of units in the time period,
rounded downward to the nearest 10 percent. Pro rata refund
is the resulting percent applied to the total tuition and other
required costs paid by the student for the current time period.
No refund shall be awarded if the student
withdraws or is dismissed after completing 50% of the potential
units of instruction in the current time period unless student
withdraws due to mitigating circumstances, in which case refunds
shall be computed based on the pro rata method above.
The 50% limitation does not apply in cases
where the student cannot complete the program due to action
taken by the school.
Tuition refunds shall be made within 30
days after WOLI has determined that the student has withdrawn
from his or her classes.
Textbook Returns: Upon withdrawal from
the course, Student may choose to return any textbook(s) Student
has received to WOLI for a refund. For each textbook returned,
WOLI will determine the condition of said textbook and issue
to the Student the corresponding refund. Refunds for returned
textbooks will be processed within 30 days.
Additional Terms:
Schedule of Classes: WOLI recommends that
the Student spend a minimum of twelve (12) hours per week on
his or her studies for each course. There are no mandatory
scheduled class meetings that Student must attend, but Student
must complete all assigned coursework, exams, quizzes and other
assessments to be considered for award of a Certificate. The
Online Classroom is available 24 hours/day via the Internet,
and students may log in to the Online Classroom at any time.
Coursework must be completed by the scheduled
end date for each course. Short extensions of up to two weeks
may be granted at the discretion of the instructor. If the
Student requires a longer period of time in which to finish
coursework, he or she may request a Leave of Absence. The Student
may be subject to an additional registration and/or rescheduling
fee in this case.
A student may choose to reschedule his
or her courses if, for example, he or she falls behind, or
takes a leave of absence.
For students in a Certificate
Program, WOLI will reschedule courses two times at no charge.
WOLI charges $100 to the student for each subsequent reschedule
request. For students taking individual courses, each revision
will be subject to the $100 revision fee. If students are required
to retake a course, the student may be charged the full tuition
for the course.
If the tuition for the programs and/or
courses has changed between the Student’s original enrollment
date and the rescheduled date, WOLI may require Student to
pay the difference in tuition before Student may continue with
his or her courses. WOLI may also require Students to pay registration
and lab fees again in the case of a leave of absence.
Fees: There is a non-refundable $100 registration
fee included in the purchase price of every course or program.
There is a $150 non-refundable lab fee included in the purchase
price of every course or program. In the event that a student
withdraws from a course or program before the scheduled start
date, the registration fee will not be refunded. If a student
withdraws after the scheduled start date, then both the registration
and lab fees will not be refunded.
Certificates: Certificates signifying
satisfactory completion will be issued after completion of
the entire program or course and all tuition fees are paid
in full.
Incidental Costs: Tuition does not cover
any costs related to Internet access or telephone calls that
Student may incur during enrollment at WOLI.
Online Classroom: WOLI will grant to Student
access to the Online Classroom for the stated duration of courses
that Student is enrolled in, providing that Student is in compliance
with WOLI enrollment requirements, including: 1) WOLI is in
receipt of a fully-executed Enrollment Agreement from Student;
2) Student is current in his or her tuition payments; 3) If
applicable, WOLI is in receipt of fully-executed loan documents.
Student understands that it may be necessary
from time to time for WOLI to perform upgrades and enhancements
to the Online Classroom which may render it inaccessible for
short periods of time. WOLI will do everything in its power
to notify Student in advance of any scheduled outages.
School Office Hours: WOLI offices are
open from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM Eastern, Monday through Friday,
except major holidays.
Placement Assistance: Placement assistance
is provided in the form of posting job openings or by referring
graduates to potential employers. However, it is understood
that WOLI does not and cannot promise or guarantee employment,
nor level of income or wage rate to any student or graduate.
